Karlah Van Arend

Karlah is the Head of Business Development & Events at Sydney’s Powerhouse Museum, with responsibility for the development, sales and planning for all functions and events at the Powerhouse Museum, across its three locations, and ensuring an outstanding experience for the Museum’s guests.

Karlah is an extremely experienced business professional, having held similar roles at Merivale and Sydney Olympic Park, setting new performance records in each organisation. She brings to the Powerhouse Museum role over a decade of experience and success gained in the intensely competitive Sydney domestic and international events markets.

Karlah credits her personal success to building strong, supportive teams and creating a culture of excellence and personal development amongst her team members.

Opening in 2025, Powerhouse Parramatta is one of the world’s most significant new museum projects. Community, industry and collection will intersect to create a dynamic culturally engaged program that will redefine museums.
