Rotary Club of Sydney ANZAC Day BBQ at Hyde Park – Volunteers Needed

The Rotary Club of Sydney hold an annual ANZAC Day BBQ in Sydney’s Hyde Park. It is on again in 2024 and we are putting out the call for volunteers. To all of our volunteers from last year, a big, big thank you. You truly embody the Rotary core value of “Service Above Self”.
For the ANZAC Day BBQ on Thursday April 25th 2024 to be a success we need help to organise the event and on the day.
We need an organising team to work on the Logistics, help with food and drinks orders, organise pick up, overnight storage and delivery on the day.
The logistics around ordering, collecting, storing and delivering more than 90kg’s of sausages and onions, scores of loaves of bread etc demands a real team effort, something I know Rotarians are great at! Please be 1 of the 6 people needed on our organising team. If we get more than 6 that’s even better!
We also need scores of volunteers throughout ANZAC Day itself. Ideally in 3 hour shifts, starting at 6am, 9am and 12pm but we can be flexible! Rotarians love to serve and during the day you can help on the BBQ itself, serve customers their sausage sarnies, take payments and more!
Finally we need help with “Bump in”, starting at 5am, and “Bump out”, planned finish around 4pm, also needed.
All are welcome, bring friends, family, work colleagues!
