Members, Partners and Guests are welcome.

Please RSVP by 12 noon on Monday 28 November via the Contact Us page – The dinner cost $23.00 and includes a 2-course dinner. Please let us know if you have any dietary requirements. Eftpos facilities are available.

Pam and Paula travelled with Julie and Jeanette, founder of Teacher in a Box, to deploy new and update existing laptops in Nairobi, Kenya and Arusha, Tanzania.

First stop Nairobi’s Mirror of Hope CBO ideally situated in Kibera, the largest urban slum in Africa. Founded by Tommy and wife Judy, Mirror of Hope was founded in response to the plight of needy children and women of Kibera. The organization was formed to bring back hope to the residents of the largest urban slum in Africa, using the transformative power of education and the ripple effect of women empowerment.

Teacher in a Box Team deployed many new devices in the Mirror of Hope Computer Room. The ripple effect became a tidal wave once Jeanette, Julie and Pam did their stuff! The excitement and happiness on the faces of the students as they had their first encounter with the amazing library of information that is Teacher in a Box.

Then on to Arusha in Tanzania, closest town to Mt. Kilimanjaro. The School of St Judes became our home for the next 10 days whilst the Team worked their magic at private and government schools in the area.

An amazing 15 days full of excited, awe inspiring experiences, and heart warming welcomes and thank you’s!
