The Rotary Club of Blacktown City provided both financial assistance donated goods to support Nell’s Pantry as part of the Forbes Drought Relief.
Nell’s Pantry, supported by the local Woolworths, is a charity started by retired farmers who saw the need to assist families who were doing it tough because of the drought. Families go to the Pantry on Tuesdays to collect items that they require. The charity’s motto is not to give them a handout but a “hand up.”
