At the Club 2026 Changeover dinner, on 23 June 2026, we celebrated the year that has passed, and the strengths of our Club. Changeover is one of the few moments that we allow ourselves to pause from the busyness of service, to look back with pride, and to recognise the work, dedication, and fellowship that have shaped the Rotary year.

President Tess Sayas presented a visual overview of the year’s service projects, events, and activities, drawing attention to the Club’s strengths of friendship, fellowship, and service. Her reflections of the projects spoke of the spirit of service and the heart of our Club that are evident in every project and activity undertaken.

President Tess then acknowledged the 2025-2026 Board composed of Keith Waller, Pip Lovely, Liz Amper, Russell Ashley, Rob Smith, Myra Hegarty, Geetha Eruvatt, Pam Carne and Gary Raymond, and the assistance of Mel Gray, Tony Orr and Mannie Stalker.

Past President David Bamford presided the installation of the incoming President.  For the very first time, three Presidents sharing the role in 2026-2027 year of Rotary Club of Blacktown City, were inducted.  Tess Sayas, Rob Smith and Russell Ashley were installed as co-Presidents, while the 2026-2027 members of the Board were introduced, Liz Amper, Nikki Stalker, Marilyn Mendez, Geetha Eruvatt, Pam Carne and Gary Raymond.

A proud tradition of changeover, the esteemed Service Above Self recognition was awarded to President Tess Sayas and Tony Orr, an acknowledgement of their outstanding commitment, leadership, and unwavering service to Rotary and the community.

The Changeover program was emceed by Past President Ken Fairfax with the technical support by Past President Mel Gray.  Adding a festive mode, Marilyn Mendez provided musical entertainment.
