Blacktown City Rotaractors’ heart for service shines through this beautiful inaugural community initiative, a heartfelt Mothers’ Day tribute to the first responders who care for our City and work on special days like Mothers Day.
Eighty three bouquets were thoughtfully prepared and delivered to Birthing Unit, Delivery Ward and Accident and Emergency wards at Blacktown District Hospital, Grace’s Place, Blacktown Police Station, Blacktown Ambulance Station, and Blacktown Fire and Rescue. Each bouquet was a meaningful gesture of gratitude for the extraordinary service of these remarkable Mothers.
The first responder Mothers were deeply moved, many saying, “No one has ever done this for us before.”
The enthusiasm, compassion, and genuine desire to give back were truly inspiring, shown so beautifully by Ziggy, Cassandra, Brooke, Ruben, Zolara, and Ellie, with support from Blacktown City Rotarians Pam Carne, Gary Raymond, Tony Orr, and Deborah Smith Ross.
