High Tea for the Didi Foundation

Join us for a High Tea afternoon on Saturday, September 17th at 12:30pm in Oakville.
We will be joined by the founder of the Didi Foundation, Jan Pryor.
Ten years ago Jan saw a need to help educate malnourished under privileged children in Kathmandu in Nepal. This has been an amazing journey which has led to training young girls, and women with the potential of sustainable employment and leadership roles, and establishing training opportunities and facilities for them.
Jan Pryor is Empowering Women through training with Didi, which enables them to gain employment and start their own businesses. Many women were not given this opportunity to reach their full potential due to social, cultural or religious issues. By teaching these women it enables them to care for their children and families and contribute to the economic and social development of their community.
The Didi foundation in Nepal has educated 6,312 women, and 3,534 have gained employment with 1,136 starting their own business.
Jan has many stories to tell and is looking forward to spending an afternoon with us.
