Rotary Blankets for Charity

After the Covid pandemic and the current economic woes of high inflation, interest rates, and accelerating costs, homelessness and domestic violence in our community are growing significantly. This exciting and worthwhile Community Project will repurpose 200 unused blankets from various

What an excellent program this is, giving us the opportunity of “giving” to the schools to allow the easing of both loneliness and bullying. The concept is that a Buddy Bench is installed in a school, and the Headmaster lets

Defibrillators for Blacktown First Response Police Vehicles

Our Rotary Club is fundraising to purchase Automated External Defibrillators (AED) for the First Response police vehicles at the Blacktown Police Area Command. These are needed to equip police who get called to cardiac arrest emergencies with lifesaving machines.

Graces Place

Grace’s Place Project

The Rotary Club of Blacktown City has partnered with the Homicide Victim’s Support Group fundraising for the Grace’s Place project. After the murder of Nurse Anita Cobby, it was decided to build a Residential Counselling Facility for children and adolescents

Seniors Christmas Party

Our annual Seniors Christmas Party attracts 400 age care residents from 13 to 15 local Blacktown nursing homes. We transport the residents to Bowman Hall, generously provided by the Blacktown City Council, for an afternoon of fun with a hot

Bike Re-Cycling Program

One program that is still ‘Peddling’ along in the background is our Bike Re-Cycling endeavour. Club members rebuild donated pre-owned bicycles and deliver them to their new proud owners in the country and the city.
