Last 28 October 2025, Rotary Club of Blacktown City awarded Ruby Bishop and Chanel Tupou the Rotary Awards for Academic Achievement and Citizenship.

Eagles RAPS was formed in 1997 by local community members in response to youth suicide in the Blacktown. In 1999, a youth centre at Doonside known as ERYC’s (Eagles RAPS Youth Centre), a drop-in recreational centre and referral service for young people needing assistance, was established.

From humble beginnings, Eagles Education and Training (EET) is now a leading alternative setting for young people struggling to succeed at mainstream school. Thousands of students have come though Eagles Raps programs.

Since 2004, Rotary Club of Blacktown City has proudly partnered with Eagles RAPS Inc. to recognise students who demonstrate dedication and perseverance through their participation in Eagles RAPS School programs.  The Rotary Achievement Award honours students who have shown outstanding commitment to their personal growth and education. This award also affirms the valuable work of Eagles RAPS in supporting young people through flexible, inclusive learning pathways.

The long-standing partnership of Eagles Raps and our Club continues to celebrate the achievements of Eagles RAPS students, as well as the dedication of the organisation’s leadership, staff, and school community.
